We are calling for students, staff, and faculty who are willing to volunteer with our annual Math Steeplechase event. Each year, we invite hundreds of 5th-grade students to visit Pacific and experience math and science in a new and exciting way. There are 3 stations that the 5th-grade students will participate in: A math competition, a science experiment, and active outdoor play.
At this beloved event, sponsored by Benerd College, we welcome the students, their teachers, and parent liaisons who enjoy a day at Pacific.
This event has been featured in the Pacific Review, on the news, and in the Annual Benerd Review. We would love for you to be part of the day! By attending this event, you agree to allow Benerd College to use your image in any Benerd College-related publications, promotional products/productions, or webpages.
We have both full and half-day volunteering options available. We will email you for your T-Shirt size and to inquire whether you will be joining us for lunch.
For students who want to earn an extension unit, we also host a course! Register here: XPCE 001- Leading in Dynamic Environments academic approval is required for units to be counted toward an undergraduate degree.
