We are so excited to have you join us at the Ronald McDonald House (Sacramento) for this special opportunity that takes place annually during Week of Welcome in the fall.
Pacific Day of Service will take place on Thursday, August 20, 2026, from 8:00am to 1pm., during your first week on campus. We have a deep commitment to service in our community, and on this day, we will be participate in a wide range of community projects throughout the city.
We will come together in service and participate at community partners sites in our local areas. We will give back in various ways including gardening, clean up and renovation, beautifying and interacting with many members of the community. We will engage in these areas of service:
- Agriculture and support
- Community care and family aid
- Animal advocacy
- City Improvement and beautification
- Education and Health Service support
Description of the Site
Ronald McDonald House Charities Northern California is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting programs that improve the lives of children and their families by supporting the Sacramento Ronald McDonald House and Camp Ronald McDonald at Eagle Lake.
The Sacramento Ronald McDonald House provides children and families with a calm, warm space where they can find rest and mutual support. This home-away-from-home provides shelter and comfort to families who need to travel to the Sacramento area in order to receive medical treatment for their child.

This is first come, first serve. Once a site is at capacity you will need to join another site.

********** IMPORTANT EVENT INFORMATION **********
- Breakfast will be provided at Knoles Lawn from 7:00am-8:00am.
- Please plan to arrive at 8:00 a.m. to Knoles Lawn. You must register and agreed to the liability waiver. Registering through the volunteer portal is required for all volunteers.
- Ensure you have your Pacific ID card, you will use it to check-in.
- Upon your arrival line up in front of the sign of the organization you registered to volunteer at for to deployment.
- Transportation will be provided.
- Be sure to dress in clothes and shoes that you don’t mind getting dirty and or paint on. Closed-toe shoes are REQUIRED. Sturdy shoes are recommended.
- You will receive a t-shirt and snack.
- Wear sunscreen, or any other type of sun protection. It’s recommended.
- Please have your own reusable water bottle to limit our waste. You will be able to refill your water bottles at your site.
