Who We Are
Delta Sculling Center offers private and group coaching to individuals who are interested in any and all aspects of sculling. This includes everybody from those who have never been exposed to the sport to those who are competing at local or national races. Coaching is offered on the water and on land-based rowing machines called "ergs" (ergometers). Athletes in the Adaptive Program train Tuesday and Thursday mornings. Beginning, Intermediate and Advanced lessons are offered throughout the week and weekend. Once athletes meet the requirements to scull without a coach, they are able to check out equipment and scull with a partner or group.
What We Do
Delta Sculling Center provides access to fitness, health, leisure and recreation for people of all abilities through the inclusive sport of sculling (i.e. rowing). We adapt our boats and equipment to fit the needs of individuals so that everyone can participate. So even if people have physical, cognitive or sensory/perceptual challenges, they should be able to find freedom on the water. We want to support everyone, no matter what motivation brings them to us, for example, those who want to become more fit, regain/improve health, find a new sport, enjoy the Delta, train for competition, improve their sculling technique, or find an adaptive sport.
