Volunteer: Oral Cancer 5K Event – Volunteers

The Oral Cancer Advocacy & Prevention Club is hosting a Oral Cancer 5K Event on April 18th from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.

We are looking for volunteers that will help make the Oral Cancer 5K a success throughout the duration of the event.

As volunteers you will:

Assist with Check-in stationHelp set-up eventAssigned a specific checkpoint throughout the route to guide runnersHand out mapsHelp in clean up

Shifts:

9:00am-10am: set up

10am-1pm:  will be hourly (you can stay longer, if able!)

1pm-2pm: clean up

Join us in Serving the Community at Cambodian New Year at the Lodi Cambodian Temple on April 4 from 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM. 

Volunteers will help create a welcoming and joyful celebration honoring Cambodian culture, tradition, and togetherness. This is a wonderful opportunity to support community members, uplift cultural heritage, and be part of a meaningful New Year gathering. 

Volunteer duties may include: 

Event set up Welcome/check-in support Parking lot supportGeneral hospitality Community engagement

Location Address: 11355 N. Pearson Rd, Lodi, CA. 95240

IMPORTANT EVENT DETAILS

Check-In: Begins at 11:30 a.m. in front of Burns Tower (loading zone). Bus will depart to volunteer location at 11:40 p.m. sharp.Transportation: Transportation will be provided. Attire: Be sure to dress in clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty. Closed-toe shoes are REQUIRED (Sturdy shoes are recommended). This is an outdoor event, dress appropriately.Meal: Volunteers will receive one free food ticket. Additional food and items may be available for purchase; bringing cash is encouraged.Open to all participants 17 years of age or older.Please have your own reusable water bottle to limit our waste. Be sure to read, understand, and agree to the liability waiver when registering.

Join us on April 25 from 9:00AM–12:00 PM at the Lake Del Valle at Livermore for Earth Day for a morning of hands-on community service cleaning up the lake shoreline. Followed by lunch and leisure at the Livermore Outlets before heading back to campus.

7:30AM-8:50AM: Travel to Del Valle Lake

9AM-12PM: Lake del Valle Shoreline Clean-up Project

12PM-12:15PM: Travel to Livermore Outlets

12:15PM-2:15PM: Livermore Outlets (No host lunch)

2:15PM-3:30pm: Deploy Livermore outlets. Travel to campus (Plan accordingly, we might run into traffic). Estimated (1 hr. 15min.) Arrival to campus.
