We will be checking in every single person that attends our Spring Open House on April 11th, 2026. While we have asked that every person planning to come register via Eventbrite, there may be those who have not registered.
We need volunteers to specifically manage this group of unregistered people! That's where you come in!
Volunteers for this event can arrive to our site at 9 AM at the earliest, or at 2:30 PM at the latest, and should plan to stay for a minimum of 2 hours. You may volunteer for more than 2 hours if you like! This table will be active all day from 9 AM to 4:30 PM.
Upon arrival, volunteers should contact and meet Analisa Freitas, Special Projects Manager at Stockton Maritime Museum. You can meet at the event check-in table (signs will direct you there) and say that you are here to volunteer for registration.
Once oriented to your check-in table, you will be there to greet visitors, ask them if they have registered online at Eventbrite, and if they haven't, be sure they come to your table. You will be in charge of noting down the following information:
- How many adults & children in their group
- how they heard of the event
- attendees' first and last name(s)
- phone number and emails of the adults in the group
- their donation ($10 per adult and $5 per child suggested) via cash, Venmo, PayPal or check
Ideal volunteers will be friendly and welcoming, and unafraid to speak with and interact with people of all cultures, be able to digitally or manually collect the previously noted information as well as monies/proof of digital payment, and be focused, efficient, and detail-oriented while doing so. You will be provided pens and sign-in sheets to record information manually, or you may bring your own tablet, cell phone, or laptop to digitally collect that information into a spreadsheet shared to you via Google sheets. (We will have a hotspot you can connect to for internet access if needed).
