Pacific Day of Service will take place on Thursday, August 20, 2026, from 8:00am to 1pm., during your first week on campus. We have a deep commitment to service in our community, and on this day, we will be participate in a wide range of community projects throughout the city.

We will come together in service and participate at community partners sites in Stockton and local areas. We will give back in various ways including gardening, clean up and renovation, beautifying and interacting with many members of the community. We will engage in these areas of service:

Description of the Site

The Edible Schoolyard Project is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the transformation of public education by using organic school gardens, kitchens, and cafeterias to teach both academic subjects and the values of nourishment, stewardship, and community.

The City of Stockton Animal Services, serves our community of over 322,120 people. Our team works diligently to advocate for the welfare of the community’s animals. Our mission is to improve the lives of animals that enter the shelter, and neglected animals in the community.

St. Mary's Community Services exits to create pathways out of homelessness and poverty by offering essential daily services and supportive programs provided with respect and dignity. Serving 3 meals a day, 7 days a week, 365 days of the year to members of the community in need of nourishing meals.

It is a beacon of hope and support, offering vital services through Hope Harbor Shelter and its food pantry. Hope Harbor provides refuge for our unhoused community not just offering a place to stay, but a pathway of hope and our food pantry stands as a symbol of compassion, ensuring that no one in Lodi goes hungry.

Ronald McDonald House Charities Northern California is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting programs that improve the lives of children and their families by supporting the Sacramento Ronald McDonald House and Camp Ronald McDonald at Eagle Lake.
The Sacramento Ronald McDonald House provides children and families with a calm, warm space where they can find rest and mutual support. This home-away-from-home provides shelter and comfort to families who need to travel to the Sacramento area in order to receive medical treatment for their child.

The First Presbyterian Church started the Midtown Pantry to share food, books and clothing to its community members and what began as a small gesture of kindness for a small group has grown, and they now serve over 80 people on Wednesday afternoons.

Families and individuals in need of emergency food assistance can visit the Emergency Food Bank’s on-site food pantry located at 7 West Scotts Avenue, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Food assistance is available twice a month per household.

There are over 60 City of Stockton parks. Our parks offer a numerous open spaces that offer a mix of recreational, cultural and natural areas. Many of our city parks provide playgrounds, basketball courts, and picnic areas for everyone to enjoy.

Pacific Day of Service will take place on Thursday, August 20, 2026, from 8:00am to 1pm., during your first week on campus. We have a deep commitment to service in our community, and on this day, we will be participate in a wide range of community projects throughout the city.

We will come together in service and participate at community partners sites in Stockton and local areas. We will give back in various ways including gardening, clean up and renovation, beautifying and interacting with many members of the community. We will engage in these areas of service:

Agriculture and support Community care and family aid Animal advocacy City Improvement and beautification Education and Health Service support

Description of the Site

There are over 60 City of Stockton parks. Our parks offer a numerous open spaces that offer a mix of recreational, cultural and natural areas. Many of our city parks provide playgrounds, basketball courts, and picnic areas for everyone to enjoy.

Bread of life began as a dream for its founder Gina Valadez-Bracamontes to give free groceries to families and children struggling. Today Bread of Life has touched thousands of families and has "placed nearly $4 million dollars' worth of food" to those in need in our community.

BUFA'S mission is to positively impact health and hunger by providing locally grown pesticide-free fruits and vegetables. They also work together with our founders, volunteers, and donations to create an efficient and sustainable small crop, they highlight African American Cuisine and a plant-based diet.
