The City of Stockton’s Stribley Community Center is excited to invite adult volunteers to support our upcoming Eggstravaganza, a festive, family-friendly community event hosted by the Community Services Department.This spring celebration will include carnival-style games, arts and crafts, bounce houses, and prize activities for families. We anticipate 200–400 attendees, and volunteers play an essential role in creating a fun, safe, and welcoming experience for our community.Event DetailsDate: Saturday, March 28, 2026Time: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PMVolunteer Arrival: 9:30 AM (check-in, orientation, and assignments)Location: Stribley Community Center

1. Receptionists - Sign in attendees & Give directions 10:30am-12pm shift (2 Volunteers)2. Room Assistants - Assist Presenters in each workshop 11:00am-4:00pm shift (4 Volunteers)3. Set up - Assist in set up: 9:30 AM - 11:00 AM shift (6 Volunteers)4. Breakdown - Assist in breakdown: 2:30 PM-4:00 PM shift (6 Volunteers)5. Parking Coordinators - Assist in directing parking: 11:00 AM-1:30PM shift (4 Volunteers)

Volunteers

Due to unforeseen circumstances, there has been a change to our volunteer location. While we had hoped to visit BUFA, we look forward to partnering with them in the future.

We will now be volunteering at the Sacramento Campus Garden at McGeorge. If you’ve been interested in visiting the Sacramento Campus Garden, this is a great opportunity to get involved and support this space.

Join us on February 28 from 9:30–11:30 AM at the Sacramento Campus Garden for a morning of hands-on community service. 

Support local urban agriculture, connect with fellow volunteers, and make a meaningful impact on the farm.

IMPORTANT EVENT DETAILS

Check-In: Begins at 8:40 a.m. in front of Burns Tower. Bus will deploy to campus at 8:50am sharp.Transportation: Transportation will be provided. The bus will be in the loading zone in front of Burns Tower.Attire: Be sure to dress in clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty and or paint on. Closed-toe shoes are REQUIRED. Sturdy shoes are recommended. We will be outdoors, dress appropriately.Open to all participants 17 years of age or older.Please have your own reusable water bottle to limit our waste. Ensure you read and understand and agree to the liability waiver.

Join us on April 25 from 9:00AM–12:00 PM at the Lake Del Valle at Livermore for Earth Day for a morning of hands-on community service cleaning up the lake shoreline. Followed by lunch and leisure at the Livermore Outlets before heading back to campus.

7:30AM-8:50AM: Travel to Del Valle Lake

9AM-12PM: Lake del Valle Shoreline Clean-up Project

12PM-12:15PM: Travel to Livermore Outlets

12:15PM-2:15PM: Livermore Outlets (No host lunch)

2:15PM-3:30pm: Deploy Livermore outlets. Travel to campus (Plan accordingly, we might run into traffic). Estimated (1 hr. 15min.) Arrival to campus.

Sturdy shoes are recommended. We will be on a lake cleaning alongside the shoreline, dress appropriately. Long sleeve and pants are recommended.Open to all participants 17 years of age or older.Bring: Your own reusable water bottle to limit our waste.Money to stop for lunch at the Livermore Outlets Ensure you read and understand and agree to the liability waiver.Please be advised that we can run into commuter traffic on the way back to campus, plan accordingly.

Cesar Chavez Day 

March 28, 2026 | 9:00 AM–1:00 PM

Join us as we honor the legacy of Cesar Chavez, a civil rights leader and labor organizer who dedicated his life to advocating for the dignity, rights, and fair treatment of farmworkers. Cesar Chavez Day invites us to celebrate his commitment to service, community empowerment, and collective action.

This year, we will partner with Stockton Service Corps and work alongside the City of Stockton’s Clean City Initiative and community members. Together, we will gather at Victory Park for a beautification project that supports the care and revitalization of one of our county’s cherished public spaces.

Come ready to collaborate, build community, and embody Chavez’s spirit of service through meaningful, hands-on action.
