Volunteers will help serve dinner to individuals and families in our community who are homeless or financially disadvantaged. All volunteers must wear long pants (no shorts or capris), a sleeved shirt (t-shirts are fine but no tank tops) and closed-toe, non-slip shoes (no flip-flops or high heels) while in the kitchen. Volunteers not wearing the correct attire will be asked to reschedule their volunteer experience for another time. Kitchen volunteers must make sure their hair is covered at all times. We will supply hair nets, aprons and gloves.
All volunteers will meet at Burns Tower at 4:30 pm
Voluntary Action Groups are made up of students who want to volunteer in the local community on an ongoing basis. These students perform service with a site 2-3 times a semester, and get to know their fellow students while serving the community.
