Family Promise of San Joaquin County

Mission - To help reduce homelessness and support low income families in San Joaquin County to achieve sustainable independence through a community-based response. Vision - A community in which every family has a home, a livelihood, and the chance to build a better future. History - Family Promise is a national organization with over 200 affiliates across the country. Our affiliate officially began its operations in 2022 after many years of planning and development.

We run a rotational model of shelter for families specifically with children experiencing homelessness. Families are temporarily sheltered at partnered congregations (churches, synagogues, etc.) for one week at a time, then all families move to the next congregation, etc.
